Journey Into Radiography
My passion for radiography sparked during a big pause in my education journey where I found myself searching for knowledge on lots of topics and I came to realize how medical imaging reveals unseen parts of the body. I was drawn to the combination of technology and patient care, which led me to choose diagnostic radiography as a career. The fusion of science and empathy continues to inspire me every day.
I’ve learned that ongoing education and flexibility are essential in this field due to rapid technological advancements. Additionally, I have come to appreciate the importance of empathy—knowing that every scan represents a person seeking answers drives me to maintain high standards in patient care and imaging accuracy.
What Drives Me
Paramountly faith in God and my enthusiasm for radiography stems from its critical role in identifying diseases early and guiding treatment. Being part of a process that can save or improve lives motivates me deeply. I am committed to using emerging technologies to advance patient outcomes.
For my impactful encounters I have had a lot not just with patients but with my working environment too
I remember a case involving a patient whose doctor had requested for a hysterosalpingography. During the booking process per her history I thought it was expedient for her to do a pregnancy test. And lo and behold she tested positive and didn’t need this procedure Thanks to that swift decision the procedure was aborted. The patient’s heartfelt thanks and joy reinforced my dedication to providing excellent imaging services with empathy . At a point in my career I have ever felt depersonalized but seeking help and putting strategies in place has been helpful.
Cutting-Edge Technologies
I love my machines, I actually have names for each of them😀. Currently, I focus on integrating 3D imaging and AI tools to better detect subtle abnormalities and advocate practices that enforces radiation protection and safety. This work improves diagnostic confidence and speeds up results delivery. I actively engage in training sessions and innovation groups to stay abreast of new imaging and radiation protection developments.
